Around 1940’s, the Japanese occupation had brought enormous hardships to the locals. Their plight did not end even after the Japanese’s retreat. The communist’s action of taking over the administration after the Japanese occupation had caused the administrative authority of Tanah Melayu at that time to declare a state of emergency thus enforcing the curfew. |
