In fact, the national history and some local legends are associated with Sungai Muar and several other interesting places. Tourists can take a boat ride from Tanjung Emas Jetty going along Sungai Muar to Bukit Kepong to view the historical remains along the river. The unforgettable incident where Bukit Kepong was ambushed by communists still lingered in the villagers’ mind.

The agricultural activity in Kampung Seri Menanti is more focused towards oil palm plantation. Although there are a few rubber plantations, the number has dwindled. About 30 hectares of land in Kampung Seri Menanti are planted with oil palm. The increase in the oil palm prices has encouraged these villagers to be involved in the oil palm industry. |
