Kampung Permatang Duku is located in Benut sub-district, in the district of Pontian. It is a visionary and highly ambitious village. The Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Kampung Permatang Duku aspires to bring forth a modern Malaysian society which is liberal, history savvy, ethical and noble. Apart from that, JKKK also hopes that the residents of Kampung Permatang Duku acquire confidence and a firm self-essence so as to be able to defend themselves against negative influences that can ruin religion, race and the country.

Surrounding Villages Tourism

Most of the villagers here prioritise and value the importance of neighbourhood aspects in their daily lives. The neighbourhood spirit is the most important basis in the foundation of moulding a united, progressive, prosperous and harmonious society. Kampung Permatang Duku had won several competitions organised by the state of Johor.

The most memorable moment for the owner of a traditional Bugis- Malay house was when her house was chosen by the YAM Tunku Mahkota of Johor, Tunku Ibrahim Ismail and his three sons for an overnight stay. His YAM Tunku Mahkota had spent the night in the house as part of the Kembara Mahkota Johor road tour in the year 2005. Tunku Ibrahim had the opportunity to foster close ties with the villagers and experience village life. Although it was only for a night, to Puan Delimah it was an exhilarating experience.
