That is the best description for Saliza Sharif, not only for her active participation in agriculture but also her creativity. Her family’s patch of land is turned into a vegetable garden and mini orchard. Not only her village but in Putrajaya as well, the demand for her produce is overwhelming.

She is one of Kampung Pedas Hilir’s resident involved in hevea craft. The products made are bookmarks, ‘bunga rampai’ and decorative flowers. Most of these are used in wedding ceremonies. She is also involved in making mango pickles and very good at it.

General Information JKKK
A roundabout in front of the Pedas Industrial Training Institute (ILP) is the landmark of Kampung Pedas Hilir. As claimed the chairperson of the Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK), Abdul Rahman Manan, Kampung Pedas Hilir starts at the roundabout and ends at Taman Pedas Perdana.

The JKKK of Kampung Pedas Hilir is led by Abdul Rahman Manan who hails from Kuala Pilah. He is assisted by his secretary, Mohd Kamal Hj Sharif and a few other members. One of the projects the JKKK is involved in is the Resurfacing and Upgrading Roads with the help from Ministry of Rural Development (KPLB). The objective of this project is to help repair the roads and upgrade the transportation services in the village.
