Kuala Pilah is one of the seven districts in Negeri Sembilan. Kuala Pilah is located in the middle of the state and the third largest. There are five main rivers flowing through it which are Sungai Jelai, Sungai Pilah, Sungai Seri Menanti, Sungai Johol and Sungai Terachi.

Kuala Pilah is famous for its herbs, Mas Cotek, or scientifically known as ‘ficus deltoidea’ from the moraceae family and it is a parasite plant. Traditionally, Mas Cotek is used by post-natal mothers to shrink their wombs, blood circulation, to gain back their strength and as an herbal drink for their health and beauty. Apart from that, Mas Cotek is used for curing some illness like pneumonia, diabetes, weak heart, high blood pressure and diarrhoea.

Mas Cotek is a parasite, living off other trees. The name Mas Cotek is popular in East Malaysia. It is due to the golden spots on each and every part of this plant that it gets its name. Every part of this plant its leaf, stem or root can be used to cure illness.

You can also come to Taman Rekreasi Ulu Bendul. This recreational park is famous among the locals who wish to bask in the beauty of this place. This unique park is decorated with waterfalls flowing through rocks and protected by Angsi Forest Reserve. The splendid array of wild plants and fauna in the forest will make you feel at peace and harmony.
