The crystal clear water flowing incessantly had always brought with it promises of a multitude of income sources for all who depends on nature’s treasures. The residents have been depending on Pahang River throughout their lives. As long as the water still flows, the village will continue to expand, becoming a heritage for future generation.


General Information History
Kampung Kuala Mai is located in Mukim Jenderak, Temerloh District, Pahang. It also borders with Jerantut District. It is about 42 kilometres away from Temerloh and 13 kilometres from Jerantut. This is a traditional village at the banks of Pahang River which is rich with Malay’s aesthetical values.

Every place’s name has got its own unique story behind it. The story of an aborigine named Mai was rumoured to be the origin of the name Kampung Kuala Mai in Pahang. In the old days, Mai was an influential ‘Tok Batin’ (a village elder or village head) to the local aborigines.
