Pahang has always been one of the states that are rich in natural rainforest that must be explored by adventurers. One of the attractions if you come to Kuala Krau is Gunung Senyum. Gunung Senyum has been turned into a recreational forest on the 14th of July 1989 and officially administered by Temerloh Forestry Department. Apart from having a vast array of flora and fauna, Gunung Senyum also offers a variety of caves that can be explored. It has about 25 caves which are special on its own. For those who are keen into the extreme activities like caves exploration and mountain climbing, Gunung Senyum is the perfect destination.


History Tourism
The name Kuala Krau originated from Kuala Kera which is thought of by the old settlers. In the 1940s, the settlers were mainly Orang Asli (Native People) who has made a settlement here. During that time, the village area which is located at Kuala Sungai Pahang were filled with monkeys and from that, Kuala Kera is born. With time, the name has been changed to Kuala Krau and it remains until today.

One of the must-see places here is the Gunung Senyum Forest Reserve which is located near the village. You can choose to go in your own vehicle or take a boat that is available near the village. It will take you about five minutes to reach the other side and 45 minutes to drive. For those who seek something unique, you can choose to take a boat ride along Sungai Pahang to Gunung Senyum.
