The name Kuala Krau originated from Kuala Kera which is thought of by the old settlers. In the 1940s, the settlers were mainly Orang Asli (Native People) who has made a settlement here. During that time, the village area which is located at Kuala Sungai Pahang were filled with monkeys and from that, Kuala Kera is born. With time, the name has been changed to Kuala Krau and it remains until today.

One of the must-see places here is the Gunung Senyum Forest Reserve which is located near the village. You can choose to go in your own vehicle or take a boat that is available near the village. It will take you about five minutes to reach the other side and 45 minutes to drive. For those who seek something unique, you can choose to take a boat ride along Sungai Pahang to Gunung Senyum. |
