Kampung Jimah Baru, situated in the district of Port Dickson, is well-known among the Negri Sembilan residents. This village is still practises the traditional Malay values and norms. Apart from that, the co-operation and relationship between the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) and the locals have enabled this village to win a number of awards. Indeed, it is a great achievement for the village. Besides this, Kampung Jimah Baru is also famous for the production of spinach crackers. This unique, innovative and creative product is produced by the ambitious local villagers.

Entrepreneurship JKKK
The entrepreneurship in this area mostly involves the women. The Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) is one of the sources of income for the people here. One such industry is the spinach crackers making which is managed by Norzila Rahmat. She inherited this enterprise from her mother. For the first eight years she has managed the enterprise and to-date Norzila’s spinach crackers are highly demanded around Seremban and Malacca.

Kampung Jimah Baru has won a variety of awards as result of good co-operation between the JKKK and the local villagers. In 1989, Kampung Jimah Baru was the winner of Pertandingan Kampung Terindah at both the district and Negri Sembilan state levels. In 1990, Kampung Jimah Baru was awarded the Bakti Cemerlang Award from the Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) for the Best Listener, Viewer and Reader group at national level.
