The fisheries sector has facilitated the increase in the economic resources of the villagers especially older men. Due to health reasons, most of the fishermen fish on a small scale. They started their fishing in the early dawn and only return in the evening. |
The agricultural sector is the main contributor to the villagers' economy. This activity is mainly undertaken by the older people. Crops like oil palm , bananas and vegetables are grown in their own land or land rented from a landlord. There is also the cultivation of coconut trees and dragon fruit trees but on a small scale.
