A loving wife lost her faithful husband. The sad widow was asked to walk in a procession around the village by the villagers. As such, the name Jenderak Loop is actually inspired by this incident where the name of the village is the combination of the word ‘Janda’ or widow in English and ‘arak’ or procession. The word ‘loop’ on the other hand is taken from the name of the road that links the surrounding villages and Jenderak Loop.
Until today, the agriculture sector is the main revenue for the residents here. Besides the geographical factor, the market price for the agricultural products also contributes to the popularity of agriculture sector.
Entrepreneurship Tourism

Small scale business activity such as tailoring service is another business alternative for some residents. For instance, Jeriah Teh is a full-time housewife who takes order for tailoring service in order to supplement her family income. Her sister, Zainun Teh produces leg rest from the remnants of clothes. The quality of their finished products makes many customers remain loyal to them.

 Although tourism is not the main economic revenue in this area, Jenderak Loop still possesses attractions of its own. Mount Senyum Recreational Forest or Hutan Lipur Gunung Senyum which is situated 15 kilometres from the village is a place-to-visit for those visitors who have a tendency towards adrenaline-charged activities. The management has prepared several programmes suitable for those who want to seek adventure.
