A lot of changes have taken place at Desa Tun Razak. Formerly a tin mining area, now other economic activities have taken place replacing mining. The residents work in government and private institutions while some have their own businesses. In fact some residents undertake extra occupations just to boost their family income.

This place used to be a squatter area lacking in basic amenities and infrastructure but now the residents are relieved. With the allocation from the Kuala Lumpur City Council they enjoy basic amenities like tap water and electricity. They can perform their daily routine without any hassle.
