“Youth is the nation’s foundation”. Charismatic youth plays a pivotal role in raising the image of the country in the world’s sphere. To equip the youth with knowledge, the Youth and Sports Bureau of the Chenderah Village Development and Security Committees(JKKK) has lined up an array of courses for the village’s youth. A variety of programmes have been organised to fulfil the youth’s leisure time.

The youth of Kampung Chenderah is also active in sports such as football. The players and coaches, who are committed, have been able to develop new talents to represent at school, district and even state levels.


General Information History

Phase I of the road infrastructure had been built in 1964. The second phase was built in 1971 followed by other road infrastructure and development projects until today. Kampung Chenderah is one of the villages earmarked for the Projek Gerakan Daya Wawasan. In line with the rural development philosophy, the Gerakan Daya Wawasan is a special project to develop a village or rural area with the objective of making it profitable.

The village dubbed Kampung Chenderah is derived from a tree called ‘Pokok Perah’ or its scientific name Euphorbiaceae. This tree can be found in Southern Thailand and Peninsular Malaysia. These trees were once found in abundance in the village.
