Support Scheme Alleviates The Burden

lthough Kampung Batu Sawar is located far into the interior, education is not left out for the younger generation. Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Batu Sawar (SRK Batu Sawar) is the only primary school in this village. Established in 1951, there are now about 90 students studying in this school. Although the number is quite small, their academic achievement is laudable. For instance, the school has scored the highest percentage of qualification in the recent Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) for Temerloh District.

Active children involving in school activities

This school also receives various types of supports from the government such as Text Book Loan Scheme (SPBT), Supplementary Food Plan Scheme (RMT) and uniform supplies. These assistances have contributed in alleviating the burden of the parents of the students.

After finishing standard six, most of the students further their studies to secondary level at Sekolah Menengah Teluk Sentang. This school is situated in Kampung Teluk Sentang, approximately 15 kilometres from Kampung Batu Sawar. Some choose to study at Sekolah Menengah Abu Bakar Temerloh in Temerloh as well as Sekolah Menengah Kerdau in Kerdau Town.
