This is because the Recreational Forest treasures 18 mesmerising limestone caves such as Gua Angin, Gua Silat, Gua Kolam Tujuh and Gua Makam Tok Long which can be found within Gunung Senyum or Mount Senyum.

Attracting local and international tourists to these caves are the unique and stunning stalactite and stalagmite. Aged more than three thousand years, the caves still stand strong until now.

Curious, His Highness asked his fellow companions the name of that mountain but as none have the answer they just kept quiet and smiled to each other. His Highness immediately named the mountain Gunung Senyum based on that incident.

The Gunung Senyum Recreational Forest is well-equipped with amenities and infrastructures such as chalet, food stalls as well as campsites. Visitors will come here in abundance during weekends and school holidays. Placed under the authority of Pahang Forestry Department; university students from across the country love to come here to experience various adrenaline-charged activities such as crossing the forest track, exploring the caves and camping.
