he longest river in Peninsular Malaysia, Pahang River or Sungai Pahang stretches about 459 kilometres. The river was once the main linkage for the residents in Pahang. This can be proven by the numerous settlements built alongside this river. Among these settlements is Kampung Batu Sawar which lies within the district of Temerloh. The village is also bordered by Jengka District.

Not many people know that Kampung Batu Sawar is the final point destination for those en route to Senyum Mount. The Batu Sawar Water Plant indicates that visitors have arrived at Kampung Batu Sawar area.

To arrive at Kampung Batu Sawar, visitors need to pass several Malay settlements which are situated at the bank of Pahang River. The Temerloh – Rumpun Makmur road is the main road that connects Kampung Batu Sawar and the adjacent villages. The distance from Kampung Batu Sawar to the Temerloh Town is around 35 kilometres or 30 minutes drive. Along the journey, visitors could pamper their tired eyes with the mesmerising scenery presented by the Pahang River.

Perpustakaan Desa Kampung Batu Sawar is located next to Sekolah Kebangsaan Batu Sawar. Hence, it is understandable why the library is always filled with students.
