he Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK) play a pivotal role of assisting the government to be closer to the rural society. JKKK is also accountable in implementing the various developmental programmes within the village area for the convenience of the people.

JKKK of Kampung Batu Sawar is chaired by Tuan Haji Shamsudin Mohamed Ali who is supported by several specific bureaus such as Security Bureau, Education Bureau, Women Bureau and Welfare Bureau. Each bureau has its own specific task to cater to the interest of the people.

Moreover, JKKK is established to strengthen the unity among the villagers regardless of race. Every information and government aspiration is channelled to the villagers through a variety of programme such as Child Sponsorship Programme and Community Sports Programme. Additionally, the JKKK also plans and carries out mini programmes that benefit the people such as repairing the drainage system and mutual cooperation.
